Armed robbery leads to assault in Randwick

Update: Police are to address media today at the Maroubra Police Station.

Early Friday morning a 28-year-old man was attacked by two men resulting in several head injuries.

The incident that occurred on Belmore Road, Randwick is believed to be the result of a street-level armed robbery as the man’s wallet and phone were stolen.

Police setup a crime scene to establish the details circumstances surrounding the incident.

The 28-year-old was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital were he is receiving treatment for his head injuries.
