A young giraffe has been welcomed into Werribee Open Range Zoo after spending three months in quarantine.
The 21-month-old who goes by the name Jelani has been getting to know his new playmates, that include six other giraffe, several rhinos, zerba and antelope.
Jelani arrived in Australia in September, following a four-day voyage across the Tasman from New Zealand.
He has never mixed with other species such as rhino, but keepers say he is extremely calm and settling in very well into his new home.
