A man has today been charged after threatening a group of four youths with a replica firearm on Christmas Eve.
The man that confronted the youths at around 11pm on Holberton Street, Toowoomba following a disturbance and allegedly producing a replica firearm. One of the youths suffered an asthma attack during the incident.
The man later identified as a 26-year-old Westbrook man has been charged with four counts of threatening violence, one count of deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm.
A police statement said, “He is expected to appear again at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on January 10.”
Police would like to speak with the occupants of a red car that may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
