Dangerous Operation of Vehicle at Redbank Plains

Police are investigating an incident in which offenders have stolen vehicles and rammed a security car in Redbank Plains overnight.

Initial information indicates at around 4am, three unknown offenders entered a construction site on Redbank Plains Road in three separate vehicles; a prime mover, Land Cruiser utility  and a silver Mazda sedan, all believed to be stolen.

It appeared the offenders were attempting to load an excavator onto the truck when they were disturbed by a security guard.

The offenders have driven off and the security guard has followed for a short distance before the ute allegedly turned around at a locked gate and drove towards and rammed the side of the security car.

The security guard was not injured.

Police are searching for three men, aged in their late teens or early 20s, all of Caucasian appearance with slim builds. It is believed the three men may have been driving a red or orange late model Commodore.
