Fire Crews responeded to a blaze at the IGA Supermarket on Eighth Avenue at Home Hill, around 100km south of Townsville.
On arrival fire officers found the rear of the building was well alight. Part of the building’s roof had collapsed.
Emergency crews remained on the scene for several hours after dampening hotspots and smouldering areas.
No one was injured and the cause of the blaze unknown. Investigations are continuing.
