Stable’s town of Bethlehem Under Construction

Stable volunteers have been hard at work these last few days setting up at Strand park where they build a town of Bethlehem for the people of Townsville to enjoy.

Many past and present volunteers have been helping transporting materials from storage warehouses across the city to the park. Around one truck every hour turns up for volunteers to un-pack and use to construct the town of Bethlehem.

Despite a few minor delays with equipment getting bogged in the sand, Stable requires more volunteers.

Stable Event Organiser, Paul Compton said people can still sign-up to help construct the town of Bethlehem.

“We can always use a few more for bump-in,” said Mr Compton.

“If people can come on down they can sign-on down here and we can give them a little bit of an induction so they know what they are doing.”

Stable on the Strand is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.
