An off-duty Queensland Police officer has been caught for drink driving.
The 34-year-old was driving a Queensland Police Service (QPS) vehicle while off-duty when he ran into a light-pole at around 2.30am this morning.
The officer has been issued with a notice to appear in the Mackay Magistrates court later this month.
Police said in a statement, “The incident will be considered as part of the QPS disciplinary process.”
