Across Townsville Lifeguard patrols will step up from tomorrow until the end of the 2011 / 12 school holidays.
A large crowd of holidaying school kids and families are expected to use Townsville’s beaches and pools this summer to beat the summer head these holidays.
Patrols at Townsville’s new Pallarenda stinger net will also commence for the first time.
Last year more than 200,000 people cooled off at one of Townsvile’s water facilities during the summer holiday period.
